On this, the occasion of our decennial episode, we are joined by the pleasantly odiferous Patrick Wensink, LitReactor instructor and bestselling author of Broken Piano For President, live from his son's nursery. We kick things off with a rousing discussion of Jim Carrey's pretentious sounding children's book, Amazon's absorption of Goodreads, and one grandmother's objection to Amazon categorizing porn as "teen books for girls."
Reads: Cath laments the rich prose and prosaic plot of Lauren Groff's Arcadia, Rob mistakes Monica Drake's The Stud Book for a self-help guide, Josh crosses the Rubicon of his Steve Erickson obsession, and Patrick wonders why it took him so long to pick up Bright Lights, Big City.
