Attention Writers! Morgan Spurlock Wants To Capitalize On Your Failure.
If you're a failed novelist living in New York who is ready to sell out and cash in their street cred, Morgan Spurlock is here to help. Head on over to Mediabistro where the director has put out a call for all manner of unfulfilled dreams to exploit. Just kidding. It looks like the super-sizer is actually out to help people achieve their dreams, with the help of a little something called Failure Club. (First person to make a Fight Club reference gets a smack!)
Is there something that you have always dreamed of doing but have been too afraid of failing to try? Did you always want to open a restaurant, write that Great American Novel or maybe even climb a mountain! If you are ready to overcome that fear of failure, then we want to hear your story. Morgan Spurlock (30 Days, Super Size Me, A Day in the Life ) is looking for real people with big dreams to be part of a new documentary-style program for Yahoo! This brand new series, Failure Club,” is about embracing the fear of failure in order to change your life. Meeting each week over the course of a year, 7 different people will come together to form this unique Club where they will help each other achieve the things they’ve only dreamed of.
Not sure what they mean by a "documentary-style program for Yahoo." Is that a fancy way of saying web-series? If I'm gonna go out in a blaze of embarrassing glory, I'd prefer to do it in style on the big screen, or at least on a decently sized widescreen digital television. With surround sound. Maybe on FX or AMC or something. Thanks to Facebook and the increasing need for people to document every moment of their life, everyone on the internet already knows about all my failures.
