A Charlie Brown Christmas - Peanuts Enters the Digital Age

A still from A Charlie Brown Christmas - coming to an eReader near you!

Graphicly, an innovative visual content distributor for eBooks, has joined forces with the company that owns the rights to the Peanuts cartoons, namely Peanuts Worldwide.

With over 60 titles in the pipeline, it’s going to be a treasure trove of releases, including classics like A Charlie Brown Christmas, Happiness is a Warm Blanket, Charlie Brown and the complete Peanuts newspaper strip archives. Phew! That’s a lot!

The new titles will use Graphicly’s distribution platform which sounds very clever, giving publishers the ability upload one file and distribute it to all platforms. Micah Baldwin, CEO and Founder of Graphicly on the system:

For years, publishers have waited like Linus in the pumpkin patch for an integrated, simple and cost-effective way to convert, distribute and promote digital and interactive books. We are excited to partner with Peanuts Worldwide to help make the rich history of Peanuts available to readers everywhere.

Sadly, this news does not mean we’ll have them by Christmas-- well, not this year, anyway. I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling a little nostalgic for the old gang - I haven’t seen A Charlie Brown Christmas in years.
