I know that it isn't the purpose for the site, but I think it would be great to have a store where you can purchase LitReactor notebooks, or pens, or coffee mugs, or hats...anything really. I'm hooked on this site already, and if I could advertise with a Tshirt, that would be great. Maybe LitReactor could sell dvds of video lectures or interviews in the future, who knows. But I am for anything that helps a site like this prosper as much as possible.
Any thoughts?
Hell, I'd even like a LitReactor desktop wallpaper, maybe someone should put together a contest over at DeviantArt.
I second this idea. I would be the first to buy a LitReactor notebook and pen. Feeding my obsession of paper, and my growing obsession of this site to help promote would be awesome.
I had a dream I was wearing a litreactor t-shirt. This is a really good idea.
given we are who we are, i think there's a market for special litreactor blend coffee. unground.
Coffee. Coffee and bookmarks.
I need LitReactor business cards. I've had to write down the url about eight times so far on the back of my regular business card.
Americann Psycho style thread where we compare cards?
And a line of LitReactor pharmaceuticals.
A LitReactor shirt and coffee mug would be purchased by me immediately upon availability. Though I do like the pharmaceuticals idea...
And seventy-year-old typewriter ribbons. And carbon paper. And cuneiform utensils. And papyrus. And DIY offset printing kits.
Alright I'll start making theses things and I can promise that all of the proceeds will go to the lawsuits that follow.
@jacks -- since there's no 'like' button, I'm just going to flag you instead.
I've wanted a t-shirt since the first time I saw the logo. And I second the wallpaper suggestion, too. There are plenty of third-party printing platforms online that could make a LitReactor store a cakewalk.
Thanks for the support everyone. We certainly have ideas of things we want to do and will, in time. We don't use third-party platforms for stuff like this though because frankly, we have standards. Standards that those services don't typically meet. So though it might be easy to set up a cafepress, we just don't feel that it is worth it, in the long run.
We already have some ideas brewing though, so keep your eyes peeled.
