Hey everyone. Basically I'm a writer who wants to get some good quality feedback on my work, so this seemed like the place to be to make that happen. I've spent the last few months finding excuses not to write much (I'm good at that), so I'm thinking that a real investment in improving my work will motivate me to do more.
I'm a huge Palahniuk fan, which is actually how I found the site. Some other authors I've enjoyed are Bret Easton Ellis, Luke Rhinehart, Harry Crews, and Kurt Vonnegut. I'm a college kid graduating in the spring with aspirations of finishing a full novel someday, and hopefully this community can help me make that happen.
So yeah, not sure what else to say about myself. Really looking forward to getting to know some of you and learning to be a better writer. Thanks for reading.
welcome aboard, new guy!
P.B. and Zona. you sound like a beer and I might try to drink you. Welcome to the Lit.
Welcome to the LitReactor. Based on your self-description, you should fit right in. If you really want to improve your fiction, join the workshop. I'm in the workshop, and I am a godamn famous genius!*
*Untrue. Except the part about the workshop.
Welcome!
Hi and welcome. But more importantly, JR, what the hell?
Too much? Should I edit it or do you want to do it? Funny thing is I wasn't drinking when I wrote that.
...no...don't edit. best they all know up front...
There remains some debate amongst academics as to whether texts should be referred to as "things."

...Don't let JR scare you away. We're not all that weird.
