Matt, the back is fucked. But it is holding up. Starting to get my back legs back, and strength is building. Framing is like lifting weights for eight hours. I could still use a bottle of Vicodin though.

Phil's hair is great. Dude where are you. That looks posh. I see the booze in the backdrop. Expecting cumpany®?

Chester: let's have some details. How big is that? How much? How are you running power to it? I am in desperate need of a studio. I'm sure it would cost more here in the fucking boonies of Oregon, but a ballpark would be cool.

Fylh's picture

@ Matt: A can of Diet Coke, cool and delicious after a hard thirty minutes of writing.

@ AveryRenee: You guys can have my hair. I grow it fairly frequently.

@ Chester: Family farm. As for cumpany... Sadly not. But there's lots of dogs.

Chester Pane's picture

Nice.

Jeffrey: The structure is 9'x 18'. With pretty nice finishes. I only do nice finishes. The other shit is too boring. Yes, there will be power. Ultimately it could be finished to become a small guesthouse or whatever. Something like this I charge $20,000. Spendy, I know. But well-built and jacks the home value up enough to compensate.

I mean, who doesn't want a cool little house next to their house?

Tell me lies Phil. I refuse to believe that is Diet Coke. Tell me sweet little lies.

@Chester. That is coming along nicely. Well done sir. Framing does suck, but not as much as roofing. Enjoy that. I feel like I should come over, drink beer, watch you work and ask you what types of nails you're using.

That looks great. $20,000 seems quite reaonable. So what kinda power you running to that . . . 110? 111?

Matt, you should. Nails? What are nails?

Gary, just a twenty amp off the main house panel. I tried to convince him to run an auxillary panel, but some people just don't see the potential until later.

Side note: if anyone knows the Piedmont well, let me know. Henrico county has a shit ton of stocked ponds and lakes and the James is south of me, but I'm looking for more variety!

So some of you might know already, but my grandma passed away this week. She was ninety and she lived a pretty good life. Nevertheless, now that I've gone through all the tough stuff, I went through a bunch of old family photos today because I was given the task of making the Power Point slideshow for my grandma's memorial service tomorrow.

Just thought I'd share my favourite picture of my grandma, grandpa and my dad in 1947. I mean, can you get more badass than this?

Also, I thought I'd share this one from 1960, because my dad looks like a total hipster:
