Per Cathy's piece, I was recently trying to recall a famous literary figure who had in his early days met a writer he'd looked up to all his life only to be dismissed by the man or some such to his horrific disappointment. As this author himself - whoever the hell this was - became historically important It is a story that offers solace to those of similar experience.
