Tremble Before The 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter' Trailer
via Badass Digest:
The trailer for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is here, and somehow it does not look completely stupid.
I'm split on this. On one hand, I really like the film's director, Timur Bekmambetobv. His previous movies (Wanted, Day Watch, Night Watch) were delightfully batshit, and Devin Faraci of Badass Digest reports that the filmmakers are playing the concept straight, which gives me hope that this won't be obnoxious. Also, Johnny Cash.
Then again, this strikes me as the kind of concept that can go south very quickly. A quirky title/concept does not a good film make (I'm looking at you, Cowboys & Aliens). Also, vampires.
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is based on the novel of the same name by Seth Grahame-Smith, and the title pretty much explains what it's about. I haven't read it, but hey, it's rocking an average of four stars of Amazon. That must mean it's good!
My big question is: Will this outshine Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter, a masterpiece of the "historical figures hunting vampires" genre?

If I see one 'Presidents Kicking Supernatural Ass' movie, it's gonna involve Nazi werewolves. The only thing we have to fear...
why does crap like this exist?
LOL - demigod, you can fill a book with explanations and yes, Why Does Crap Like This Exist?!? should be the working title...
@Typewriter Demigod: Because it's awesome.
I'm waiting for Nixon vs. Dracula.
This looks totally unenjoyable. I may be a snob after all.
