SCARE US! - Time To Reward Our Top Reviewers!
LitReactor's first official writing challenge, SCARE US!, has come to a close. All submissions have been received and all eligible reviews have been made. We had an exciting time and want to thank everyone for making this a success. Writers not only wrote great stories, they also helped out and gave great reviews. Without those reviews LitReactor wouldn't be the vital community of learning and improvement that it is. Because of this, we want to give special thanks to our reviewers. Even if you only reviewed one story, you helped a fellow writer, and that’s what it’s all about. Oh, special thanks...
And prizes.
So without further ado, here are our top reviewers!
The following people toiled for hours reading story after story and giving specific feedback for each author. Not only were their reviews the most numerous, they were also some of the best in quality. We could never have pulled off such a successful challenge without these people giving of themselves and working so hard. If you submitted a story, odds are one of these people reviewed for you, and we hope you've thanked them yourselves. Our top four reviewers are true reviewing warriors. We wish we could return to them some of the time they spent on these reviews so they could spend it with their loved ones, but since we can’t, we hope they enjoy their prizes.
- Jane Wiseman
- Jonathan Riley
- Emma
- Sean of the dead
The above four people each get to pick one free book from Doubleday's stacked catalog. Todd Doughty, Chuck Palahniuk's wonderful publicist and a friend to the site, will then personally send you your choice. On top of this, Greg Kerr, who run's the beautiful literary T-shirt company, MilesToGoClothing, is offering up your choice of any shirt from his catalog. On top of this, we'll throw in one of our Choke T-shirts in any available sizes or colors.
The next group of winners also logged in numerous hours reading and reviewing. They gave great reviews and took the time to answer questions or clarify points for the author.

Fantastic. So pleased to be a prize winner - but to be honest it was just great to be part of this competition. Now to find out how to claim my prize.
Hey, Scott. Jessica will be in touch with you shortly. In the meantime, you can head over to Da Capo Press (linked beside your name in the column) and pick out your free book now. Congrats!
Many thanks. Great selection on Da Capo.
Congrats to the greatest reviewing group I've seen! You guys were great - I hope you got as much from this challenge as you gave!!
:) :) :)
Oh wow, that's so awesome! I love those shirts, and few things are more exciting than free books! Can't wait to snag those up! Exclamation point bonanza, yaaay!!!
Okay - all winners should have received a PM from me. :) It's okay to respond. I'm not a stranger.
If you didn't, send me one.
I agree with Scott...being part of the Scare Us! challenge has been fantastic. The prize is just icing on the cake! Thank you all so very much! ^_^
Those t-shirts from MilesToGoClothing are pretty awesome. I'm going to have to purchase one me wunna those.
Ralph Wiggum: I won! I won!
Principal Skinner: No, you're failing English.
Ralph: Me fail English that's unpossible.
Which brings me to my point: It's unpossible not to like this competition. Really good stories and you got to read them for free. Then to get rewarded just for putting your 2 cents in. Fantastic.
Congrats everybody! Those MilesToGo shirts are all awesome!
These guys were awesome, and definitely deserve the accolades! Congrats and thanks for your hard work!
Good job guys! Pat yourselves on the

Congrats to all the winners. Thanks for your time and dedication. You all earned those prizes. Thanks also to everyone who submitted a story. I wouldn't of had great stories to review if not for you.
Congratulations to the top reviewers. Congratulations to everyone who submitted a story. Participating in the contest really was its own reward. Free stuff is just gravy. Really awesome gravy.
Congrats to all winners--you guys rocked it!
Thanks for the book -- it's an honor -- but this thing doesn't appear to be over yet.
