I'm late in the game. I started the writing assignement and ended up just telling the story of the worst part of my childhood. I may post it on here as a type of therapy, I guess. It is probably not good but it is important.

Thanks, Chuck.

Isn't the process of creating themes just establishing a series of expectations for the events that will unfold?

Many parents hope to instill good values in their children as they grow up.  They may tell you to, "Go to college to get a good job"  or to "Clear your plate before you leave the table".  Maybe they come from a background where "That's how my dad did it, and his dad always did it" and this is good enough for them.  Today, you can find many college graduates who are out of work, thousands of dollars in debt, and living with their parents.

"Obesity is an epidemic" says the various authorities on the topic.  More and more people each day are becoming overweight.  Many hypotheses exist, and countless fad diets popup each day.  "High fructose corn syrup is a real killer and on the Paleo diet, I eat more like people did thousands of years ago."  At least that's what someone said to me the other day.

Don't these problems seem kind of obvious?  Maybe people should look no closer than home to the problems they face now.

Parents wish to help their children success, but often pass on bad habits and behaviors.  Obesity can be attributed to many of these bad habits....

These are the themes right?
