I came up with this game. You just post what you actually did instead of doing any writing (unless you actually did some writing in which case bravo you).

I'm hoping having to physically write out how I wasted my time might motivate me to stop wasting my time.

Tonight, instead of doing any writing, I played Candy Crush for several hours between eating Oreos and watching old episodes of Malcolm in the Middle on Netflix.

For added sad points, the oreos came in a family pack. I am alone.

I made cartoons and collected obscene amounts of photos of Macaulay Culkin in a secret folder on my laptop.

I don't feel too bad though, yesterday I wrote a sequel to Moby Dick.

It have found that when my work life or personal life gets busy, I try harder to cram in writing time. When I have a lot of free time, I dawdle. Work has been way too busy lately, and I try to fit in some writing every night. In a few weeks I'm done with this seasons stuff, and my husband is going on a work trip and I will have the house to myself, to write, or dawdle. I hope I don't dawdle.

Ha, this thread makes me laugh.

Profunda~ I want that to be true :)

I tried to crochet an amigurumi Death, only his hood screwed up and now he looks like an evil dark gnome. *shame* I played "dumb ways to die" till my arm started to ache.I started reading "Three miles past" by SGJ and found nothing good to watch on tv so stayed up till midnight watching "When vacations attack"

Also this is kind of a cheat because I usually write in the day when the house is empty, and yesterday i revised a story, so that counts, right? But, you know, I wanted to join in, so that's what I did last night :)

I was taking out the trash and spotted a trail leading into forest that I hadn't seen before, so I followed that until it was getting dark, then I went home and watched the hockey and drank wine, after which I lacked the intellect to write a grocery list.

We should compile this into a cautionary tale titled Things I did Instead of Writing.

I tried to crochet an amigurumi Death, only his hood screwed up and now he looks like an evil dark gnome.

I had too google a couple of words in this. Evil and gnome weren't among them. You should celebrate your creation.

I will be recording country versions of the following songs:

MY WAR - Black Flag

LIGHTS OUT - Angry Samoans

WHERE EAGLES DARE - The Misfits

I haven't decided on a name for the 'band' that will record full versions of these songs. LMK if you have suggestions. Must include Burt Reynolds and Trans-Ams.

I desperately require a lap steel guitar.

Didn't feel good so slept during the day. Went to low key dinner out with husband. Stopped by the store and laughed at men buying very last minute Valentine's night flowers and candy. Then realized we were not ones to be snooty since we were there buying trash bags. Got email and phone call from a butthead. Did not return. Ranted briefly about how said butthead drives me nuts. Gave bossy advice online. Had a staring contest with cat. Flopped on sofa.

Instead of writing more stories like I have been (middle grade and teen dark fantasy), I self-pubbed the fantasy portion into a chapter book called Skull-Fairy dance.

I'm unsure of what to do with the Dystopian SF portion. I wrote it earlier, I was more depressed then. I'm not really sure how it turned out.

Song Of Lost Youth is more like a Teen chapter book.
