Sarah Rose Etter - Instructor

I'm the author of a short fiction collection, Tongue Party (Caketrain), and a novel, The Book of X (Two Dollar Radio). The Book of X was selected as a Best Book of 2019 by Buzzfeed, Thrillist, Vulture, and is a finalist for the 2019 The Believer Book Award and the 2019 California Independent Bookseller Alliance’s Golden Poppy Award.

My fiction, interviews, and essays have appeared or are forthcoming in Gulf Coast, BOMB, Guernica, VICE, The Cut, Electric Literature, and Best Microfictions 2020, among others. I've also attended writing residencies through the Disquiet International Program in Portugal and the Gullkistan Creative Residency in Iceland, where I wrote The Book of X.

When I'm not writing, I'm usually at an art opening, reading, swimming, or attempting to adopt a dog in Austin, Texas.
