Fanmade ‘Series of Unfortunate Events’ Teaser Trailer Released

‘Series of Unfortunate Events’ Teaser Trailer Released

UPDATE: Yup, it has been confirmed, this is fanmade.

As you may have already heard, last year Netflix announced that it would be creating a TV series based on the popular middle grade book series, A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket. Since this momentous declaration, fans of the novels have been waiting with bated breath for a peek at the adaptation.

Now, avid readers, you must look no further, for this past Sunday a teaser trailer was released, reports Buzzfeed. It is full of dark imagery and eerie music, and plays off the tragic themes in the books well. Within the snippet of film we catch a glimpse of the eerie eye symbol, a jar full of Lachrymose Leeches, and even the shadow of Count Olaf himself.

Some have speculated this trailer is fanmade. Either way, it's pretty epic! The Netflix adaptation of the series will be released in 2016, and I, for one, can’t wait to see what they make of it! Will you be watching?
