Cool things usually go down at cons, and this past weekend's NYC affair was no exception. As we did last year with Rob's news roundup, here's a quick rundown of said cool things, presented in no particular order. You can totally pretend you were there!
Tor.com had the scoop on four big announcements from this year's New York Comic Con:
- George Romero will pen a 15-issue series for Marvel called Empire of the Dead, a continuation of his Dead film series.
- Neil Gaiman will return to his short-lived Miracleman comic series and finish the story, some 20 years later.
- DC publisher Dan Didio hinted that Lois Lane may get her own comic series in 2014.
- At the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D panel, Jeph Loeb talked future story lines.
Meanwhile, over at io9:
- New Joker voice actor Troy Baker impresses the audience with a Killing Joke monologue.
- Casting and general Season 4 tidbits were discussed at The Walking Dead panel.
And finally, IGN had this tasty morsel:
- Game of Thrones Season 4 may depart from the books. Significantly.
