Drag Queen Gets to Read Dr Seuss’s 'Green Eggs And Ham' To Kids After All

Martha Graham Cracker, the alter-ego of theater artist Dito Van Reigersberg and lead singer at the Martha Graham Cracker Cabaret in Philadelphia, was originally invited to take part in National Read Across America Day by reading to children in New Jersey. The invitation was then “retracted after officials deemed her act ‘inappropriate.’” But that’s not the end of the story.
Support poured in for the artist after the original story broke and resulted in an invitation for Martha Graham Cracker to read Dr Seuss’s 'Green Eggs And Ham' to kids and parents at Philadelphia’s Christ Church Neighborhood House.
NBC10 Philadelphia spoke with Deborah Block, a parent who was at Sunday's performance. "It's a wonderful way of honoring Dr. Seuss. Martha Graham Cracker is the embodiment of the Dr. Seuss 'wonder of the world.' It's beautiful."

This is brilliant! Love her rendition.
I still hate you Theodor Geisel.
