Book And Bed: Tokyo's Bookstore/Hotel

Book And Bed, a new hotel in Japan, gives guests the experience of a bookstore sleepover.

Rather than standard beds, guests will sleep in bunks that are built into large bookshelves. Much like the famous capsule hotels, the bunks won't be contained in private rooms, but distributed throughout a common area.

The idea behind the hotel is that one of the best life experiences is dozing off while doing something you love. In this case, being surrounded by books. This hotel joins a host of unconventional Japanese businesses that combine various interests and needs, such as manga cafes with included cats, incredible internet cafes, and nap cafes.

Book And Bed is slated to open September 2015. Many of the exact details have not yet been determined, however it's a sure thing that the book selections will be more varied than what's found in a typical American hotel.
