These masterpieces will have you screaming anything but “off with her head!” The artist known as Talamaska has created a collection of paper-cut art pieces inspired by Lewis Carroll's children's classic Alice in Wonderland, reports GalleyCat.
The art collection includes 25x25cm selections inspired by iconic characters such as the White Rabbit, the Queen of Hearts, the Caterpillar, and the Cheshire Cat. She also includes scenes like the rose garden and the mad tea party. Five of Talamaska’s creations were even on showcase at a personal exhibition in Moscow.
“There were three things I liked the most,” Talamaska explains on BoredPanda. “The sharp knife I use, finding secondary meaning in fairytales, and symbolism in illustration.”
Talamaska goes on to say, “Though time has passed, I’m still obsessed with the story—I want to speak about it more and from different angles. That’s why I have great plans this year for the new Alice series, and there’re some new paper-cuts I’d like to show as well.”
