April Book Club Selection: 'These Dreams Of You' by Steve Erickson

April Book Club Selection

Every month here at LitReactor, we celebrate reading with a new selection in our Book Club!  For April we will be reading and discussing Steve Erickson's newest book These Dreams Of You.  Here's the official synopsis from Amazon:

One November night in a canyon outside L.A., Zan Nordhoc--a failed novelist turned pirate-radio DJ--sits before the television with his small, adopted black daughter, watching the election of his country's first black president.  In the nova of this historic moment, with an economic recession threatening their home, Zan, his wife and their son set out to solve the enigma of a little girl whose body is a radio, broadcasting a future rhythm & blues that circles the sphere of time.  Scattered across two continents, the family meets a mysterious stranger with a secret who sends the story spiraling forty years into the past, from '60s London to '70s Berlin, from the ground zero of civilization to a New World mid-air in its leap of imagination.

Discussion for These Dreams Of You will kick off on April 1st, but you should pick up the book and start reading ASAP!  (We've provided a handy link below). Once you're locked and loaded, you can announce your presence in the Book Club. (No invitation needed!)  That thread is where all discussion about the book will go down.

If you read our March Book Club selection, My Father's House by Ben Tanzer, make sure you check out that thread, as Ben has graciously offered his time and is answering questions right now.

Happy reading!
