Now, I know this could turn controversial very quickly. There are a few "pure" writers who feel everything should be done with either pen and paper or a typewriter. The majority, from what I understand, simply use any kind of computer word processor that works, i.e. MS Word, Pages.

What I want to know is if anyone uses a writer's software that is outside of the normal loop? I've heard Scrivener is used, Dramatica is another, and even Dragon Dictate is used by a couple people I know in school.

If you have any experience with any of these programs or the many other products available for writers, share your experience here. It may just save someone some loot and maybe help a few new writers.

Also if you feel like throwing out how best to use the software by all means throw that out here as well.

I look forward to hearing your stories and reviews.

I feel like this was discussed before in another thread a lot time ago in a galaxy far away.

I'm sure it was. But I wasn't here so it doesn't count.

I left you a response to your gay question in the other thread.

It was in fact here that you saw that, the thread is titled something like "Word, Scrivener, which do you use?"

Word 2003.
