have to vote DFW, cause I always end up there with a 2 hour layover.

Beaumont area, which is basically Houston area.

I live in Houston, but all my in-laws live in the Austin area (Kyle\Buda) so I spend a fair amount of time there, too.

I won't vote...but I have to be in every thread.
Hi, Texans!

I went to Texas last year to visit my sister in law. I was under-whelmed. But then, I did have to spend most of my time with in-laws...so I can blame that.

I'm in South-south-south Texas... Avery, if you want to like Texas, go to Austin (that's my favorite city). And if you like nature, go to Big Bend!

I think if things went to shit, Texas is where I would go. It isn't actually part of the US to begin with.

I second the Austin sentiment. I'd prefer to live there, but work is here.

Xyzy, I was all excited for a moment when I saw the second voter in DFW, but then I got sad when I saw that it was just airport time.

I lived in Fort Worth for four years while I went to seminary. Seminary was the worst decision of my life, I ended up hating the school and ultimately left the faith altogether, but I loved Fort Worth (not as much as Austin, though).

I've heard San Antonio is the place to be, any thoughts?

Awesome, I have always thought if I moved to Texas, that is where I would go. Lots to do, great feel to the city.

Then that is where I shall go if I move there...can't right now sadly.

San Antone is the shizz.

Something bad always happens to me when I got to San Antonio (stuff stolen, car damaged, etc.).

I just like the river walk. Now corpus...

The San Antonio area is pretty damn beautiful I must say.But if you go thrity minutes west a little ways you'll run smack dab into the begining of the Texas hill country. Thats where we have our ranch. Gorgeous place. I miss it. Currently, I'm living in L.A. Its not as gorgeous but if you took away all these buildings...it would be pretty damn beautiful too!
I think if things went to shit, Texas is where I would go. It isn't actually part of the US to begin with.
If shit goes down... I'm heading for Texas too. Glad to meet so many like minded people.

Yes sir or ma'am....something...I can't tell...well this is awkward. Glad to see you're not a bot....we were a little worried.

My name is John so you can take a wild stab at my gender.
Glad to see you're not a bot...
Me too! Although I'm not certain because I haven't done the T2 arm peel test.
I could risk it if we all agree I should...

I live north of Houston and i frequent Dallas a lot. I honestly have more fun there than when i visit Austin, which isn't very often i guess. The girls are prettier and nicer in Dallas, San Antonio is a great city too, i used to go there a lot. Houston doesn't really have much going for it. It's pretty shitty. I read somewhere that it's a "work city" not a party city.

I moved from Lake Worth (Fort Worth area) to Oceanside, Cali., about 8 months ago or so. Went down to Houston a bunch of times for this thing and that thing.

I don't understand how so many beautiful girls can be clustered in one area like Dallas. You walk in the grocery store and they're everywhere. And they're so nice and cordial too. Not all hostile and annoyed like Houston girls.

By some freak occurrence, i've won free tickets to see Sleigh Bells tomorrow night at SXSW so i'll be in Austin tonight to pick up the passes. If anyone there wants to have some drinks or something, i'm down. This is all very last-minute.

Not from Texas, but I was in Palestine two weekends ago visiting my girlfriend's mom. Growing up 20 miles from NYC, it was quite a culture shock driving through town signs that read, "Pop: 127". Also, I arrived knowing very little about Sam Houston. I left knowing much of his history and with a loaned copy of his autobiography, written by a former slave. In short, Texan's love being from Texas!

LOL! You mean you don't have those vending machines? I'm so confused!

Well shit, I'm depressing the keys of this keyboard right now using the business ends of two nickel plated .357s. All Texans type like this, I think.
