Why would a wealthy and famous writer commit suicide? Thinking that so many could be the reasons that to search out the main one would not be an easy task, led me to read about him. Having read the majority of his books and liking the matters he dealt with, he himself and his "wild" life style could be his master work, thought. Can any other reader, knowing the author and his llife, suggest or explain me the main reason behind him comitting suicide? -To say it was all due to those injuriating accusations he had at the end of his life would be maybe, a too simple reason. At least for me. Or was behind such hard plots hidden an hyper sensitive character never shown in his works? -Was the reason in his childhood?  Well, does not seem his childhood was so hard after all. Not as described in "The painted bird" his praised and cruel first book, at least. Had not any more reasons to keep on living, a man at the peak of his sucess?

Await comments and any light that could be brought into this matter.
