My name is Stephanie, and I'm seeking motivation from joining this site. I love writing, always have. Unfortunately, I haven't written much of anything in about four years. Once I received my Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing, I promptly stopped doing it bcause my main source of motivation was gone! I think that being part of a community like LitReactor will greatly help to keep me on track to accomplish my writing goals. It seems that everyone is very supportive while at the same time doling out constructive criticism. And the people here seem to be just plain fun!

So, I have signed up for a class starting this month, I just read a story and am going to post a review about it, and I am going to figure out which of my almost-maybe-sort of finished stories I should post on here to be reviewed! I have found a bit of motivation, and I am determined to make it habit.

Welcome, Stephanie! Review and write and talk and write but mostly write and review and improve cause that's the main point of this all, right?

Look forward to reading/reviewing your work!

hmm, you've been here almost a year already. so, why is it just now that you are thinking of diving in. you have friends and are heading for an actual full blown workshop experience but this is a first post. did you quit and come back or have you had major obligations elsewhere. curious minds are intriqued. spit it out.

I initially joined the site when I did a class about a year ago with Joshua Mohr (great class, by the way, take it if you get the chance!). And that did help to get me to write during the time I had the class, but I allowed myself to be distracted by having two jobs and too many friends (not that this is a bad thing in life, but it certainly is bad for finding time to write). So I didn't really quit, I just got really, really distracted. And at that time I did want to dive in, but I just did not have enough time to dedicate!

I am finding that I have more time now that I have just one job and don't have quite as many friends because I just moved to South Korea to teach English. Now that I have more spare time, I find that LitReactor and other reading/writing endeavors are what I find myself gravitating toward spending time on. Writing is something I have always loved, and I'm trying to embrace it as much as I possibly can!

I look forward to getting to know you....not in a creepy way

Stephanie, she totally means that in a creepy way.  Also, if you're not overtly friendly to her she can be really pushy for you to do so.  Also, she's already stolen your profile picture because it's what she does, so consider this your fair warning in case you consider changing it at some point:  she will steal the next picture as well.

Welcome to LR.  Enjoy the meme of yourself that Avery is probably going to be showing around soon.
