As a photographer I am very visual in my creative ideas, I have been longing to write a script that is both great in dialogue and visual elements. How does a photographer go from shooting pictures to writing scripts and shooting video?

I have started a short script, but there is not much for dialogue, and is very strong in imagery.

Something tells me a noir with black and white photos would be cool. The idea I'm having reminds me of the first Max Payne video game or Sin City.
