Leah and I have agreed on a smack-talk embargo this week, so I'll just add that it's been a real pleasure being able to read and share so many amazing stories these past few months. You guys are all awesome, and I'm pretty bummed this is drawing to a close.
Oh, and I should probably update the Vault Boy avatar to get ready for a skullcrushing finale. This should just about do it.

Haha I said "the final" - like you two are taking an exam. Yeah, good luck to both in the finale! May the one with the most inspiration for that particular prompt win it!

EXCITED for the finals!
I think yes to members only in the contest (it's good for the site, too) and maybe there is a way to reduce the number of stories in the initial rounds. Sixty three 2500 word stories in two weeks was a metric fucktonne of reading and I almost died for real.

Annnnnnnnd... subbed.
Well, that's officially the end of my WAR effort. I hope my story manages to live up to the finale hype, and that you all enjoy what's sure to be the biggest, bestest rematch since Rocky fought Apollo Creed.
I know, I'm really good at keeping my references current.
See you in the ring, Leah!

Hey Avery,
Maybe this is a dumb question, but when does the voting close for the final? Is it Thursday because that's a week from when the stories were posted, or Friday because that's how it's always been?
Hope everyone is having a great week!

We have a new WAR monarch!! Should that get its own thread, or what?
Anyway, I, for one, welcome our new overlord, and express my condolences to the vanquished, pledging fealty should that person rise to power again.
