I'm actually more excited for the loser's bracket than the winner's bracket. I want to see 1,200 word stories. Those are going to be so fun."
Wait- I've been in and out- so correct if I'm wrong.
Loser and Winner's brackets are identical. 2500 words, two weeks, etc. Until round two and then it's 1200 words, three days voting? From this point on, you stay in your bracket unless you lose in the winner's bracket in which case you move down into the pit to write like an animal (which I like better than loser's bracket, especially since it's a Spartacus reference) If you lose in the pit, then you're dead. Abiit ad maiores.
Right?

Got my idea, and have random lines written out as well as an intro. I may try to get it as close to 1200 words as a warm up to round 2, but it's not going to be easy. Matt Attack, you might as well quit now.

I have no clue. I was on track to win my match by one vote, then out of the blue...
It was tight the whole way, through. I sorta wish I would of been put out of my misery early on. It was hell checking every two minutes.
Matt Attack

My story and Renee's were tied pretty much the whole time; then all the sudden she was ahead. I know the feeling of constantly checking. In a way, it was a blessing when she pulled ahead decisively. No clue what happened. Better story methinks.
Considering the giants that made it into the pit along with us, I don't think it speaks to talent or effort. Just is. C'est la vie.

So the way I understand it is that those of us who lost our battles in the original bracket go to the Loser Bracket (LB). Losers from the Winners Bracket go into the LB to battle. Anyone who fails to get enough votes in the LB is out of War.
Courtney

The only way I got the idea of the loser's bracket was the concept that you have to lose twice to be out of the tournament altogether. Whoever loses in my match is out: the winner goes up against Otis or JY.
