Do not come to Italy. We've got earthquakes and extremely ugly politicians.

Ok for me to push it, if necessary. I never know where I'll be ravaging tomorrow, anywayz.

Boston got hit pretty hard and a bunch of people in MA are without power, but my neighborhood is all well and good and I have many watts of electrical power at my disposal. I'm not aware of any other Massholes that are Litreactor members and/or taking part in WAR.

I'm good to go. But also fine with a delay if it helps another contestant.

@Utah - I have no clue what would have made you think I was from the Lone Star State, except for Alberta being the Texas of Canada and my office being located in the Cow Capital of Canada and me being the modern day/female equivalent of J.R. Ewing...

@Stacey - glad you are OK! Rob Hart weathered it relatively intact, too. I don't think he's coming down to play WAR with us, though.

A killshot at 2800 yards? Nearly a mile and a half. Impossible shot, except for the Aussies.

Yeah, I can see your POV. Maybe they shouldn't have used so many adverbs in the article.

I thought it was great, mainly for mathematical reasons.

Agreed. You'd have to account for the curvature of the Earth and the friction of the air. The round might even fall apart half way through.

Not to mention from the targets point of view. The guy would have dropped and then four seconds later they would have heard the report.

Also, long time, no see! You're a ghost, it's almost like the Count making an appearance, except for you're not a troll of course. Scratch that simile. It makes no sense.

Well I still have to write my first round story in like, a day. That will give me another day to edit. Woo.

If I survive the first couple of rounds it will be a miracle in my opinion. If I do make it though, things should calm down for later rounds.

I'm not sure yet if they have ruled on the east coast weather situation, and change it, but I believe that is how it stands now.
