Loser's Bracket First Round will be just like Winner's Bracket Second Round. Total of three weeks, 2,500 words. After this round, to accomodate new blood that comes in every two weeks from the winners bracket, Loser's Bracket will run one round per week. Yes.
Loser's Bracket will run one round per week.
In order to accomplish this, stories for Loser's Bracket will be Super-Flash. 1,200 words. Prompts will be given at same time on Friday as normal. Stories will be due at 7 pm CST FOUR DAYS later, which is Tuesday. Then a three day polling period.
That's what it sounds like. I hope I can get back into the swing of things. It's been an awfully brutal week with my cat dying and everything. I'm totally sad. :(

Brief answers:
First round of losers bracket is just like first round winners bracket. So basically, it's just Round 2. After that we truncate things.
Round 2 starts tonight. Brackets updated, The Big Reveal, prompts dropped, the whole nine yards. Scheduling is a bit hairy this round closure though, because I am with inlaws, AD is with...whomever she spends her time with. So basically, when either of us gets time we're going to start shutting down polls and prepping prompts. No idea when that will be, as I think I'm "spoken for" a good bit of the afternoon/evening. But we are proceeding with dates as scheduled; just bear in mind that we might shut down those polls any time from this moment (not me: I'm at Walmart buying a blender) until late tonight. Get your voting done!

Beka, sorry for your cat. I dread when that will happen to me, what with my 5 cats. But they live shorter than we do, nothing can be done about that.
I hope eventually I'll get this whole bracket thing. But I'm not there yet.

When we do the big reveal, can everyone put a little description with their title? Because I may not remember the story just from the title. I had enough trouble remembering the titles when I voted for my favorite of the round. I had to go back and find the story I picked before I voted.

Congrats to all the writers in the first round and I can't wait for Round Two! Don't think of it as the "Losers Bracket". I see it as the "We've Learned From The Loss" grouping. I'm calling it The Snake Pit. A den of pissed off vipers looking to strike. The dive bar where the rough and tumble go to duke it out.
And to finish the analogy, time to get shitfaced.
