Well, if nothing else you can stop by here on Thanksgiving if you are bored and sick of family, and read some stories and vote!

Is there a calendar anywhere showing dates for voting and receiving of prompts for different rounds?

I would like to see this, too, as I've got a freelance project coming up that I need to schedule and hope it doesn't fall during a writing week.

Usually, I am all for the flexibility of such things. unfortunately I have to move house in the next couple of weeks. I need to be arranging some stuffs, and I don't want to mistakenly leave myself no time whatsoever for the next rounds.

I just started reading. Can't really read any on my phone this time because i'm too close to going over on my data plan. That rolls over tomorrow so that might change. I'll probably just be reading them at work.

Actually I just had another thought...  I dont know if this is an issue for anyone else but I dont have full time net access (I find it screws up too much of the rest of my life) so I download all the stories one by one at the pub to read later on, and it would be reeeaaallly handy if there was 1 .rar or .zip that contained all the stories in a group. However I imagine it quite likely that I'm the only person who reads them off line so if no-one else seconds the idea... I'll just shut up.

...and goes right along with the animal rights portion of this thread.

This WAR mindset is habit forming. I just caught myself comparing two takes of the same song on paper and circling the one I liked better for a playlist in green -- which is what I've been doing for the stories.

Don't get me wrong, Utah, I love oatmeal raisin cookies. Just don't put cookies out and try to fake me into eating one, thinking they're chocolate chip, and then BAM, raisins. NOT GOOD. As Avery said, "good way to get punched in the throat." Ah, I like you more and more each day, Avery.

I love oatmeal cookies - but I don't like raisins in them.  Also I have convinced myself that the oatmeal is still healthy, even in cookie form!

I hate when you pick up a cup, take a pull from the straw and think it's the worst soda you've ever tasted, only to remember you'd filled it with tea instead. Expectation vs reality.

I hate it when you pick up a Dr. Pepper, take a big healthy swig, and then remember that this was the bottle Fritz was using to spit his tobacco juice in.

Did you know that Dr. Pepper and tobacco juice look very similar?  They don't taste the same, though.

I haven't had a chance to read a single story yet, so as I do tonight, I'm going to pretend my vote means something more than it really does...like when all those "punk" bands did that Punk Voter thing in 2003-2004 and backed John Kerry, a staple of the punk rock community, and then every manic-panicked, anarchy-patch wearing NOFX fan got out and registered to vote.

Except that my votes tonight will be way more important (not to mention way better informed).

BAS:  yeah, we're waiting for me to stop being a lazy slob and post the poll.  I will do so this evening.

My apologies to everybody, especially to the guy after whose dick the BAS is named, lest he feel somehow slighted.
