So much sex and violence in The Bible. It's unsuitable for children, and for many adults.
Also, if you're reading this thread, we're probably preaching to the choir, but read and vote on some fuckin' stories, willya? Maybe someone could post recruitment up in one of the workshopping threads.
And yes, I've been drinking.

The bible verse prompts really incited an interesting batch of stories this time round. Hired belly dancer killers and fantasy land trials, love-struck mermaids AND prostitues of semi-fame? Where else are you gonna find all that?
I couldn't agree more! Very interesting stories this round. Is there a BAS poll already?

the finale...
if the winner of the winner bracket loses the final match, should we have a do-over round to decide the real winner because of double elimination and all that?
your reasons mean nothing to me, vote what you think, majority wins.
Jonathan Riley
from Memphis, Tennessee is reading Flashover by Gordon Highland February 11, 2013 - 8:21am
I think we should let the two people in the final decide and if they can not agree then the rest of us can vote. That said, if the W.B. party were to lose and wanted an extra shot, I'd vote to let them have the final match.
avery of the dead
from Kentucky is reading Cipher SistersFebruary 11, 2013 - 8:23am
I don't. Which is why you should vote. If it is tied or no one wants to decide, I'll just decide for you.
And did I mention your reasons mean nothing to me?

There, voted. Honestly, I see no consolation in getting a second chance if I'm the one that has gone through all of WAR without having lost and made it to the final. A loss then would be a loss--over and out. At that point getting a second chance wouldn't fill me with any sense of validation, even if I won the second match. Hell, especially if I won the second match.
Wonder Woman
from RI is reading 20th Century GhostsFebruary 11, 2013 - 1:03pm
I voted. Not that my opinion makes a lick of difference, but if the last two standing both want double elimination or both agree that a loss is a loss & they're done, I'd run with that. Having said that, as a spectator now, I'm cool with whatever is decided.

@Sound: I think later tonight, like 7ish Avery's time, so really, anything could still happen. Both matchups have been back and forth for either story by no more than two votes. It's been NUTS!
@Gordon: It's always been this joke that the LR ladies would make a calendar. In my mind it wouldn't be so much a "pinup" calendar as it would be a "writer lady pinup" calendar. Fantasy. Ruined. (the writer-ladies' calendar, I mean, not Christa—nice to meet you)
I'm imagining someone balancing a toddler on one hip, cigarette dangling out the other side of her mouth, one hand typing on a netbook, with a dripping box of wine in the background. And yet still in lingerie. (Kidding.)
