You just gave me a whole new perspective on how differently we all (humans) view the same things. I feel your sadness after hearing your interpretation of that picture. But I didn't see any in the picture itself. To me she looks determined. She just made up her mind about something and is about to act. I'd watch out if I were on the other side of that window, whatever "I" may be. That is the coolest picture in the world. I want to write a story about it right now.

If I were going with a Metal Gear avatar, though, it would have to be GotP Raiden, who kicked ass far more than Snake in that particular game (before anyone's panties get all bunched), ran Vamp through via himself, and stopped an entire goddamn cargo ship. SoL Raiden still sucks, and is unfortunately the closest thing the game has to a female protagonist.

Leah: As it turns out, the neat part about using a video game character for my avatar is always having a new WAR pic. That said, I'm still at, oh, zero words right now, so maybe ditching the costume was your secret weapon all along.

Emme: Me too! I'm a huge fan of the earlier Tales games. Waaaaay, way back, I downloaded a fan-translated rom of Phantasia (before the series was brought to North America) and I was hooked hard. Right now, in my spare moments, I'm actually playing Persona 3 on my old PSP. For some reason, I never picked up the series before, and now it's my own personal Time-Vampire.

My drug of choice is FF but it's been hard to stay excited about these new titles. I've been playing XIII since it came out, and still only 30 hours in. I let a friend talk me into Disgaea 3, which is brilliant but around 200 hours long if you're a completionist, and I'm halfway through Xenosaga.
