I'm with dufrescm: I suck royally at these things. Not that I would change my vote or have any regrets for whom I picked, but I haven't even correctly backed a BAS winner yet. It's really anyone's game.

"Thanks for keeping my name capitalized, Avery."

No problem!

Also, the next round is completely boys vs girls.  If all the girls lose, then you're all misogynists.  Just saying.

Closure, Lianna, and Ben are the only three left out of the last 8 to drop from the W.B. to the Pit. This could mean that the dwellers down there have aclomated to the shorter form and quicker turn arround. I predict similar results from the new Fallen.

Prediction:

I'm going to beat Chris Carter in a rematch in the Finals, Only Otis/Lianna  Emma/Benfreeman/Dufrescm and

Bekka/Tom/  Closure/Ispieler/Jeffery   then Gordon  and finally Leah/Matt/Ian stand in my way.

Their will be plenty of cake left over so you are all invited to my victory party.

Ouch!  Way to kick a guy. I like going up to people that I see crying and ask if it's because of their haircut.

Vegas odds are all on WB people, so if you want to make any money, gotta bet long.

As for round numbers, I'm not certain it works out this way, but I called the past two weeks Round 4, with Round 5 starting this week. Two LB rounds per WB round, right? Er, I think …

I'm going to cling to that, seeing as I'm up against Bekanator next.

Like Dino, I was bumped out but I'm still reading and trying to chat. Last week was madness though and I feel terrible that I didn't get through all the stories. Sorry folks. What I'm learning from running after school children's theater through the PTO is that it's great to be involved, but being in charge is fucking chaos. This is my second year handling the program so I thought it would be smoother somehow, but no. It's just as madcap no matter how organized I try to be.

At the end of the day, I should be thanking Dino for whooping me because I don't think I could have juggled both WAR and theater at the same time.

Gone for a tick but I'm back and looking forward to reading more stories!  WAR has been fantastic and idea of video prompts gives me a case of the warm fuzzies.  Just like this does:

Ad yes, that's my dog.  He's adorable.

This has nothing to do with WAR, so pardon the interruption, but I love dogs...so I'm sharing my blog post about these two HUGE dogs I know.

Enjoy.

Also, forgive me for personifying them...the owners sent me a little story, and I couldn't really *not* use it. Haha.

I remember when the idea for music prompts got kicked around in WAR1. We never had them back then but I was really worried about what kind of songs we'd end up having to be inspired by. I totally thought they'd all end up being metal.

I'm really pleased with the selection of music chosen. It was a nice emotional mix which produced some great stories. I noticed that this batch was really character-focused and contained smaller ideas. Really enjoyed this batch.

Two out of the four flash round prompts are in my music collection. Good favourites of mine. Luckily in my case, one of those two songs was my prompt.

I wasn't familiar with my prompt but a prompt is just that - a prompt. It's a jumping off point. You can stare at a napkin on a coffee table and come up with something if you want to.

With that said, I wished you gave me Godzilla by Blue Oyster Cult.

I won't be surprised if TomMartinArt wins.

He's from MA, which gives him an edge in all things "literary." His avatar is a simple drawing, which means he is unpretentious. He sings, which means he knows how to "let it all hang out." He's into metal, which is irrelevant. He writes fully capable genre fiction, which is the highest form of expression known to mankind.

In poker terms, that's about a jack-high flush: good, but potentially trumpable.

[By saying you might win, I've all but assured you will not. Sorry.]

I haven't seen the stories or other prompts yet, but mine was a pleasant surprise that instantly spoke to me.

On a related note, I kind of want to lose this bout because I think my story here and Éclairant were the best things I have written and will ever write, and I just want to go out on a high note.

Though I would love to be part of round pi or the later irrational number rounds.

@Emma, you can't lose this round. Cause then my jewish guilt will kick in because that would mean I beat your awesome story with my weak ass "story." Granted, I hated what I wrote last round too. Then it won and I went back and reread it and thought, "this is actually pretty good shit." I don't think that's happening this time though.
