Maybe I should be ostracized. But I need something to keep me writing.

I know Utah, I told you I shouldn't and then I did, so I realize I was giving you mixed massages.

Dave, how do you make your posters if you don't mind my asking? Good stuff there.

I'd like to be a part of this if still possible. Is there any way the stories could be submitted anonymously to avoid any bias? And is there a minimum amount of votes needed for a story to advance?

@myhers:  Hell yes there is room for you!  In answers to your questions about anonymity (and other questions about how to participate), please refer to the first post in this thread for participation rules.  We've made some changes to them in the last week, but they are updated.  And the number of votes needed to advance to the next round is one vote more than your opponent gets in the matchup.

It is I that owe you the apology, Chester.  I used to date.  Should have read between the lines.  I'll try to do better.

I have a weird question? Since I am still relatively new, who is the expected front runners for this tourney? I mean if we were to put odds down, who are the most likely to hit the final four?

" March 9, 2012"

Is this the start date?  I mean, I know it says it is, but...is it?

@Diaz:  I'm not too sure offhand.  I haven't reviewed nearly as many people as the folks at the top of the reviewing pack.  They are who I plan to ask about that very same question.

Yeah, I didn't want to leave you hanging, but ya know family stuff, plus move, plus 65 hours a week, plus trying to sharpen my technique, I am not sure. I think I am going to finish my thing with AD and then seriously buckle down with the classes and such then once I am settled in Richmond, get going again with battles and such

And no worries.  If you don't think the timing is working out for you this go-round, it's definitely better to wait for a more opportune window.  As long as this thing goes well I definitely plan to do it again.  If you can't do it, I'm thankful you let me know now while we have ample opportunity to fill in the gaping holes in our hearts that your leaving causes.

Of course people notice.  Look at that gaping hole in the 8 slot!  It's obvious!

"Who's missing, who dropped out?"

"Didn't that used to be Matt's spot?"

"Fuck, what happened to Matt?"

"Has he been killed?"

You're going to provoke a lot of worry, but we shall overcome.

Flaminia, I really can't right now, I am moving, then got family stuff, plus social obligations, plus a 65 hour work week (until I move) but I am game for the next one I promise....in the mean time I am just going to take a few classes and read every craft essay I can. Hot as dragon's breath.

I remember this one time during a demo, just after the cops had kettled us and tension was hanging in the air like a sparkles balloon. When the forces let us go and different groups of protesters got together again there were these two boys, they were just around their 25 young and gorgeous, they just hugged and french kissed there, in the middle of the chaos. That just made me want to shove myself between the two. So fucking hot.

Does that make me a slut because I thought that was hot? I wouldn't care. It was hot.

Yeah, that too.

But those two cuties just were so happy they found each other again and they were still alive and kicking, the whole scene resulted in fact more tender and sweet than sexy per se.

That said, demos have sexy in them, that hide and seek with the batons, the teasing reluctance when running from charges.. and that song, we just could go on for hours singing it along. Sex and violence! Sex and violence! Sex and violence! Sex and violence! Sex and violence! Sex and violence! Sex and violence! Sex and violence! Sex and violence! Sex and violence! Sex and violence! Then we shall leave you pick up the pieces of all the broken hearts that shall be the result of this competition, Flaminia.  You'll be like the Red Cross.  Succor for those shattered by battle.  We're glad you're here.

But as long as you're involved in battle, show no mercy.

I'm going to use some pulling-out-of-a-hat device to randomize the prompt selection.  That way no one gets anything too form-fitted to them or too opposed to them except by sheer accident.
