Important new WAR info!!

Everybody go to the post that started it all.  The first post of the WAR intro thread.  Read the bold, underlined, italicized stuff.  That stuff is from Kirk.

So after you read that, everybody go give some special thanks to Kirk and  Dennis for their contribution, and to the mighty Richard Thomas for throwing in the good word on our behalf.

@Utah Can we change it to OFFICIAL Presents: WAR thread?

No.  Kirk said I can keep the brand name.

Although there was some conversation about changing the brand name to:  Kirk is the Shizzle Presents

@Raelyn:  I certainly plan for there to be.  The interest seems to be there.  Are you wanting in on this one as an alternate, or do you still live in the school library?

Raelyn's picture

I'm actually in the library right now! If you open a second WAR after this, count me in for that. For this one I think I'd just like to watch and read. :)

Correct.  You do not need to be part of the workshop to submit and participate.  However, for publication/copywrite reasons, the polls will be locked to membership only.  So if you don't pay for the workshop you won't be able to vote for your story.

Nah, I checked with Kirk.  If you want in a locked thread, you gots to pay.

That sounds bad, right?  You gots to pay.

$9 a month!

Come on.  Pay $9 a month.  Laurance can't even afford to eat, he drinks 6 pots of coffee every day to suppress his appetite.  He pays for the workshop.

Well, don't go to TOO much trouble for me, I would love to join but I'm sitting on two maxed out credit cards, and a house full of food bank canned goods. Plus I have to find a way other than hitch hiking to get to Winnipeg for a funeral in the next week. I know, whiny starving artist blah blah blah. If I don't get to read the stories now, I will read them when I make some money. Keep your fingers crossed I get the night job I applied for, please!

I might be able to arrange for some trial passes like I did last time in the Anthology, this time for War contestants, but only if you guys promise to read and vote on as many stories as possible. Basically you would have a one-month trial period for starters. Sure you could workshop, but ideally you would use it for War.

A key more or less.

The thing is, I think it is pretty important to have as many of the actual contestants reading and voting as possible. Not only does it make it more fun, it can be quite informative and raise the level of play.

Anyone interested PM me and I will see what we can do.

Usually the more the better.
