Arkadia, seriously, you disappeared for like a month!  I thought you'd headed off for New Zealand and been eaten by Maoris.  Nice to see you're alive and uneaten.

Americantypo may be amazing but who is he? What does he want? And why does the mere mention of his name make my cat yowl and stick its butt in the air?

(Insert Clever Remark)

Renfield's picture

some interrogatories:

Ooga booga be there blind voting with no names attached to these stories to keep an open mind during voting? I'm sure I can spot out most people's prose anyway. My titles probably give me away. This one probably not a big deal.

Ooga booga be there a variation in the types of prompts that will be posted? The popular detailed plot prompt? Vague phrase prompt? Picture prompt? Narrative limitation?

Nikki Guerlain's picture
Nikki Guerlain from Portlandia is reading Necronomicon Book Three March 3, 2012 - 11:35am

I'm pretty sure my prose is gonna be recognizable too but that's okay! I'm interested to see if voting will be blind or not.

manda lynn's picture

will the stories be hidden from the public, so i can use them later, or are they open for everyone to see once posted?

Renfield's picture

Ooga booga they could lock the threads to be visible to registered members only and delete the files after voting, which I would also prefer.

Rennie is on Shrooms.

This War is bloody shaping up.

Gowin, Guerlain, Gonzalez. 3G.

Now where is the skull-creaming line?

@Utah: Can you change the music to Pantera's Walk. Or War Pigs?

Actually being an alternate is like being the sniper who can drop someone's creamed skull into their lover's lap causing Blood and Semen to splatter everywhere.

I would love that job.

My prose is pretty obvious as well. I'm hoping to use some stealth in this war and slip under the radar by not writing about dirty hookups. Or maybe I'm just saying that so you won't clue in to the fact that I'll still be writing about dirty hookups!

Rebecca, remind you at all of the anonymous five minutes of shame?

That is half the fun of the blindness.

@Nikki: I am not sure if you were asking if this is blind or not. It is blind. Stories will be posted nameless for the poll portion.

edit: Nevermind, I see what you mean; it might not be completely blind because of stylistic mindprinting.

Thanks for clarifying that cuz my priapic cranium was about to cream itself beneath the mounting quizzical tension and explode like a phallic stick of Wylie Coyote ACME dynamite thereby scattering a shrapnel of blood and militant seed into the starving mouths of upturned heads looking to the skies for a fleshlight to guide them.

We could introduce an element of shame.  If there are some BDSM subs on who don't feel right unless they're feeling wrong, we can definitely create a shame-factory for those who don't make it through the first three rounds.

Wait, so how do we post anonymously?  Everyone will pretty much know it's my story when there is some homoerotic aspect and then something really gross and weird happens.

aliensoul77's picture
aliensoul77 from a cold distant star is reading the writing on the wall. March 3, 2012 - 4:30pm

Or should we all try to write the opposite of how we write.  That would mess up everything.  It would be chaos.  Like Captain America working for the Nazis.   Americantypo has to write romance.  Becky has to write Tucker Max fiction, avery has to write about an independant single gal in the city and I have to write really butch hetero fiction about football.

Jose F. Diaz's picture

I don't know if I could write lovely, it would make me puke.   If I tried writing Victorian romance, I think a tentacle would come out of someone's pussy.

Nikki Guerlain's picture

We should just write the best stories we can and not worry about whether people know whose story it is. And yes panda ya gonna get spanked. I might have Chester do it if I'm busy but you'll know where the love's from. I look forward to the onslaught of weirdness.

Nikki Guerlain's picture

Chester Pane's picture

Yeah, trying to hide who you really are will only get you killed people. I wouldn't recommend it.

And yes, I will spank Panda for Nikki with a tentacle cumming out of a puss.

Reminds me of the movie Teeth.
