I know a lot of publishers would like you to have some stuff on the internet to generate more sales and word-of-mouth. . It's funny how that works, but it does. I work for a publisher and yea, it's like if you have stuff up it's sometimes better .But every situation is different. So you have to do what is right for you. Sometimes pulling would be better, i can understand that.

Yeah I know what you are saying. I think I have 4 stories up online currently and it's been great for word of mouth and people approaching me about work. But I definitely don't want to pretend to give first rights to a publisher when they aren't there. I don't think any publishing house is gonna be cool with being stiffed in that manner. I actually worked at an intellectual property law firm for over a year when I was in law school and people get pretty darn pissy and protective over that kind of thing. And it's really messy because cyber law is such a new area of law.
So yeah you can put your work out there as much as possible and I wouldn't be all freaky about not letting people see your work but I would be very careful of how you present a work to a publisher. You might burn a bridge through inadvertently misleading someone.

Hmm. Well, the polls are scheduled to run until Sunday. But there is this thought of closing them today for discussion. What does everybody feel about that? Specifically, what do all the people who are not leading in their battles feel about that? There is enough disparity in some battles that more time wouldn't make a difference, while other are very close.
Thoughts?

Grigory, I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but in a few moments or days Alien is going to ask you for photographs of yourself, if he hasn't already. Then he'll likely ask you if your hair is that color everywhere or, if you're still shaving your head, ask you if you're clean-shaven all over.
I'm not saying it's wrong to give him the pictures he requests. That's entirely between you and your personal code of ethics.
