So I've been lurking for a while, and it was starting to make me feel creepy, like the internet version of a peeping Thomasina ... so here I am.
I never know what to say in introductions. I'm married, a mother, I have a full time job which often allows me time to write (!) while at work ... I finished my first novel 12 days ago, and have three more in progress.
I'd like to edit/review other's works, in order to get better at doing my own revisions (and just to be helpful). And I'd like to build a trusted circle of people who would be willing to do reviews/edits on whole novels lol ... seems most people are willing to take a look at a short story, but longer offerings have fewer takers :)
Glad to be here.
Hi Kacey. I'm in a similar boat to yourself, having recently finished the first draft of a novel. I'm currently redrafting, and at some point soon I'll be looking for critiques. I'm more than willing to return the favour, so I'm in on your circle.
Have you thought about joining Writer's Workshop on here? I've posted two chapters short of an entire novel on the forum (albeit in two-chapters-at-a-time increments), and I've gotten tons of reviews on every single chapter, from anywhere between two to 14 reviews on each. The people on there are very committed to sticking with the stories that are posted and give really great feedback. And the good news is you yourself can review too, and people can reply with feedback on how effective the critique you gave was.
Welcome to LitReactor :)
Hi Kacie! Welcome to LitReactor. I basically just registered myself, but whatever.
Nice surname you've got there. "Cunningham" always make me think about food.
Ahem. Okay, that wasn't my creepy moment at all.
