Now I'm brewing my coffee and I'm gonna read the shit out of these stories.

I'm gonna read these with both vids playing on a half-second delay. It'll be like wub-ub-wub-ub-wub-ub. I will be hypnotized. I won't remember anything. My vote will be purely reactive, instinctual, emotional.

Hey Jonathan Riley, this Thunderdome already has as many votes in six hours as ours did in seven days! Maybe we'll have to try a rematch soon? It seems people are more into the battles now, maybe a result of WAR2?

I'm not surprised at how lopsided it is, I'm just surprised at which one has the teeter-totter to itself. I saw a clear winner, but I guess I need my eyes checked.

All three were worthy of a badger of honor, though.

Strange Photon's picture
Strange Photon from Fort Wayne, IN is reading Laurie Anderson lyrics March 31, 2013 - 8:34am

Out of curiosity, do you three submitters vote for your own stuff, or do you figure that that is gonna logically cancel out each other so all three of you refrain from voting? Or, do you vote among the two pieces that aren't your own?

In a two-wa battle, this would be pointless, but seeing as we've got our own little menage-a-trois(sp) going here, I'm curious to know what y'all do.

sean of the dead's picture

I assume we all voted for ourselves, as it makes it look a little better for some of us.

Strange Photon's picture
Strange Photon from Fort Wayne, IN is reading Laurie Anderson lyrics March 31, 2013 - 4:33pm

So, you didn't discuss it and agree on a scenario?

I'm trying to remember if Utah, Jeff, and me talked about how ot handle our own votes, but I really can't recall what happened. Shows how soundly I was trounced since I've repressed the memories.

Bekanator's picture
Bekanator from Kamloops, British Columbia is reading Ugly Girls by Lindsay Hunter March 31, 2013 - 6:03pm

Typically we just vote for ourselves. I know it's the same as not voting, but if you don't vote it just feels like you're not even standing up for yourself.

Strange Photon's picture
Strange Photon from Fort Wayne, IN is reading Laurie Anderson lyrics April 1, 2013 - 9:25am

Oh, for fuck's sake, I AM a dunce!

Were the names always attached to the stories at the top of this thread??? Hooked on Phonics apparently failed me, because I didn't see that at all.

Anyway, Sean, that story kicked all kinds of ass. From the very first paragraph, I knew where my vote would go. If I had read yours first, instead of last, I would've felt guilty because it wouldn't have changed my vote, but holding a favorite in one's heart while continuing to read others out of some sense of obligation to fairness just seems somehow unmanly.

So, yeah, good story. *winks and pats you on the back in an entirely hetero sort of way*

No, this Thunderdome was as anonymous as a Thunderdome can be made. The names were added after the poll was closed this morning.

Thank you for your enjoyment of my story, I really do appreciate the kind words.
