Very tough choice. All of these stories were excellent. Good job, everyone!

Loved these. The best batch of stories so far this WAR, hands down. Not a bad story amongst them, and some duels were TOO well matched for my liking. Damn near a coin toss on occasion.

Hundred Dollar Tip is something completely different to any other WAR effort, and got my vote.

Perpetual Junctions is my runner up. Honourable mentions to Stranger Danger and While You Were Away.

Soooo many good stories here! I loved Stranger Danger, A Great Man, Perpetual Junctions and I Want Him To Exist. Her Heart I Have Saved creeped me the hell out, as did Seasons, but for different reasons. I am Melissa and I am from Providence, RI, so Her Heart gave me a good case of goose bumps!

At the end of the day, my vote went to Night Skate. I loved the emotion and all the imagery conjured up by your writing. It was a beautiful story with a very raw, emotional feel. Nicely done, folks!

I voted for Night Skate. I thought Ellie's character was conveyed really well through her brother and the other teens. The story had a nice nostalgic quality between the raw emotion. It really gripped me.

Fantastic job, all.

I voted for Apples and Trees this time around. It was nicely done, and had just the right amount of heartbreak for my money.

Thanks so much to the people who voted for Junctions. Don't tell anyone else, but you two are my real best friends. Honest!

Thanks for the BAS votes Covewriter and Tommorrow Hill, and mystery voter 3000! I voted for Perpetual Junctions Travel agency as well. Looks like me and my new best friend are now gunning each other down.

I have to say I was quite impressed with the whole round. Not a loser in this bunch of stories in my mind. Can't wait to read these in the publication world. Special shout out to Stranger Danger, and Night  Skate as well. But really, all very good stories here.

Same as the previous round, it wouldn't let me vote, just kept displaying the results every time I checked for the past week or so. Were I able to, I think I'd have gone with "Her Heart." Good stuff, y'all.

I love that Chris and Jonathan voted for each other's stories! Cannot wait for the work your round will generate: I adore both of your writing so very much, it will be like watching two brothers fight to the death.

Every one of these stories was great. Not a weak one in the bunch. That made reading these wholly gratifying and voting between them just painful.

My BAS vote went to Leaving A Hundred Dollar Tip Ruined My Life. I also thought Apples and Trees, Her Heart I Have Kept, and Perpetual Junctions Travel Agency were all outstanding.

And thanks to everyone who voted in the BAS for While You Were Away.

Ha ha, so one of the top picks here lost it's duel. Tough for you there, JY.

That, if I remember right, has not happened before, in this WAR or in the first one. Strange times.

@Martin. In the first round of this War Sound lost his match by 1 vote and won the BAS by one vote.

Yeah, I remember that. Crazy how that works. I guess it says a lot about the caliber of the invidual matchups and luck of the draw. As many of us have said, there were lots of "losing" stories that would've won differing matchups. Almost makes you wish we just rated the stories and the top half of them moved on each round, but that would take the fun out of the bracket pairings and strategizing and smack-talk.
