Hi all,
I wanted to say a quick thanks to the workshop, as I won my first writing competition last week!
The judging author (Tim Weaver) had the following to say about my story, "Weapons of Mass Destruction". I'm gonna live off that for ages, it doesn't half make you feel good :-)
"The clear winner. Brutal, funny, inventive, this cross between Grange Hill and The Hunger Games is wonderfully evoked. Its rules are clear, its characters fleshed out, there’s pace, tension and a suitably jet-black twist."
Anyway I wanted to say thanks in particular to Alan H Jordan, MattMyth and Paul Fassett whose comments helped me improve this enough!
You can read my story here (2000 words).
Whilst I'm here, I should mention that the ebook of my novel "In That Other Dimension" went on sale yesterday. It's been an exciting week!
Cheers all, and happy writing.
