Hey gang -
It's your friendly neighborhood Defender here. Or rather, the artist formerly known as Defender of the People.
Yes, it's true, I'm (un)officially (actually, it's official, I just wanted to throw around the old branding one more time) stepping down as Defender of the People here at LitReactor. I've loved you all, to a point, and I hope you've loved me back, you know, to a point. But as it is with many relationships, LitReactor and I made great friends, but terrible lovers.
I don't know who will be replacing me, but I have no doubt it will be someone fabulous who has the right stuff to keep this place thriving. And I'll still be around, just back to my former glory as a community member.
I've had lots of fun doing this. Hey, remember that one time I banned some people? And another time I wrote an article about stuff. And when I edited your posts? Yeah, it was all pretty sweet. But it's time to pass the torch.
I'll keep you up to date on any future projects.
:(
I don't have any cool pictures or slick clips, but please know you'll be missed. I've appreciated your efforts to keep everyone engaged and playing nicely. It was a really fun ride with you as our guide and defender.
It sucks the way this went down. You deserved better. Bad, Litreactor. Bad!
Thanks for being our Defender, you were pretty damn fantastic in the role. :)
Onwards and upwards! That IS the case, not a "sucks the way this went down" case, yes?
Thank you, Avery. You have served this community well, but (and not to be melodramatic or anything):
Best of luck.
Goodnight...and good luck.
Masterful use of autoplay.
Even though I've been on this site for a few weeks, I look forward to your posts.
Let your light shine, girl!
Avery -- You have been a spectacular defender! You will still be on the site, right? You aren't going away from us totally? I admire you, your writing and your defending, especially your defending.
If the site had any real business savvy, they'd have found an excuse to get you on the payroll a long time ago.
Though if you had any real business savvy, you'd have quit trying to organize cool community-centric writing activities, and started peddling reengineered magazine content from salon.com a long time ago.
Either way, now we just have to get rid of the Utah fella...
Cheers.
Defender or not, I'll always be on Team Avery.
But it appears that #teamUtah is killing it now.
Also, what MattF said.
Exactly.

I read Twilight last year as part of my 'read popular things I'd never otherwise read project' and it was as bad as everyone said. Worse. But it did lead me to find this.
Aw, Damn. I miss you already!
Hi Avery. Others have said true things, but for me, you made WAR and a bunch of other cool stuff work smoothly when it's actually like herding cats. Plus, despite some fairly serious trash talking (which I suspect is all farce, possibly ghostwritten), you seem pretty damn nice.
I salute you.
Thanks for defending.
Time for Perfectly Natural 2!
Let the record show, I always loved you and you will be sorely missed.
Thanx for all the good work
Love you, Avery!!!!! I'd say I miss you but we're already friends everywhere else, so I'll still get to see you and that thought makes me HAPPYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Didn't I have a comment posted here??? Who the fuck censored it???
;)
That was me. XOXOXO,
- Utah
