EDIT: Decided to hold off on this for now but might do it later.  Incubating the idea at a new sub-portfolio off my main site: http://author.xanderdavis.com -- Depending on how that goes, I might ramp up a zine then with other writers.  Feel free to get in touch with me anyway if interested.  Wouldn't hurt to build up contacts in the meantime.

I am interested in starting an online magazine of speculative fiction and editorial on futurist topics related to current and projected issues and aspirations in our world today.  It would feature graphic design and covers for each piece with a strong level of care for presentation overall.

Would there be anyone interested in submitting to this?  Thinking maximum limit of 3000 words per piece, either an editorial on a specific topic or futurist-oriented short fiction set in a plausible near-future or present.

The site is in early prototyping stages now.  This is all unpaid at the moment.  Perhaps after building up a history and (hopefully) reputation, we could seek funding sources then.

How do you define SF for your zine? I do dark contemporary borderline SF when I'm of the mind to do SF. (So not hyper advanced tech, just social stuff.)

That would actually be perfect.  Right up my alley.

Over the weekend, I decided to incubate this as a sub-portfolio off my main site ( http://author.xanderdavis.com ) for awhile with my own writing only, and depending on how that goes, I might ramp a zine with other authors up later.

Feel free to send me your work though (here instead: hello@xanderdavis.com ).  I'd like to check it out anyway. :)
