No, I'm not one of those people who signs up for the forums and then disappears. I've actually been very busy working on Spark: A Creative Anthology, which you may remember from my introduction thread.
A few things I'm excited about:
- An article about Spark on Yahoo! News called “Spark: A Creative Anthology” to Pay Pro Rates to Emerging Writers (picked up from a press release I wrote).
- Cover artist selected for Volume I! Aaron John Gregory will be creating original art for our inaugural volume, so anything previously submitted (or submitted from here on out) is now being considered for Volume IV.
- 370 unsolicited manuscripts & proposals in just two and a half months! (We're actually reviewing applications we received for two First Reader positions to help us keep up.)
- A great Project Update video uploaded to the Kickstarter Project and to YouTube.
Thanks to all who have been so welcoming as I ease into this community, and especially to those who have already shown their support for Spark (either by backing or submitting!)
I am excited by all of those things as well.
Bump for ya! Cool stuff happening for you guys.
Are you still taking submissions, Spark Editor?
This is awesome. I'm trying to decide if I have something ready to submit. Thanks for doing this.
I just signed up on Kickstarter. Will this still keep being published if you don't reach your goal?
Do you take simultaneous submissions, ye olde Spark editor? I've checked your site and saw nothing specific against it, so...
Disregard the above query--just found it.
I meant MULTIPLE submissions?
I pledged to the kickstarter.
Awesome, will be submitting something soon.
Excellent, Spark editor. Thanks.
Nice work! I'm not sure I have anything ready for a Dec 15 submission but I sure as hell better have something for Feb.
In any case, I hope some of our LitReactors make it in print and I will most certainly buy a copy.
Super cool. Love it when people create new ventures in writing!
How exciting!
Covewriter brought up an interesting question that I didn't see answered.
Will this still be published if you don't reach your goal (Kickstarter)?
I kicked it :)
