If you have to ask, the answer is no.

I think the saying is "If you have to ask, you'll never know."

At least, that what Red Hot Chili Peppers taught me.

I voted no, basically because I feel like when people ask, it's a cry for help.  And I didn't want to be an enabler.  But also because I'm just a kill joy, like, always.

Avoid drunkedness.

Cultivate buzzedness.

This means incorporating a few shots in with food and lots of other fluids. Use alcohol sparingly. Use is no crime - abuse is bad. Like overeating or anything else done to excess...

I'm trying to keep my drinking down, as it's been on the rise. Trying to keep the weight off too, so the fewer calories, the better, especially from alcohol. My gut doesn't appreciate it.

this is the first time i've drank in about a year. my birthday was thursday and i guess i got liquid gifts this year.

i asked because we literally drunk-debated for fifteen minutes whether i should do another shot or not. i thought this would be a good tie-breaker. i've never drank two days in a row, so i'm writing this off as an expirement in tolerance.

Happy birthday Courtney! I just got very nicely drunk Wenesday night, so I say yes. Drinking is like pizza, it's a special treat once in a while but too much will fuck you up and get old fast.

i took a year off because i started dating my boyfriend on new year's eve and all we really did was smoke pot (muc cheaper and easier to get around here, honestly, especially because he gets a nice discount). then he got put on probation for six months and didn't get off until august, so we really haven't had the occasion to. before him, i got drunk maybe once or twice a month -- i rarely drink myself into actual intoxication, i usually just get buzzed.

also, thanks for the happy birthdays! (:

and nick -- i was drunk. yes, i'm using that as an excuse.

Ah, gotcha Courtney. When I was underage in Australia (we can drink at 18 there), we all used to smoke weed  because it was easier to get than alcohol. Bless our governments and their funny ways of thinking they're protecting the young from substances. Welcome back to drinking! And congratulations to your boyfriend for successfully competing his probation.

Sometimes it's nice to get a good buzz on out in public. More progressive countries allow for public drinking and guess what, it seems people don't act out like assholes for the most part. Wouldn't you enjoy having some wine while sitting on a bench or watching a street performer?

Here's what you do. You buy a bottle of Vitawater with a flavor that corresponds with your choice of red or white wine. That'll hold almost an entire bottle of wine. Then you just roll around town carelessly with your "vitawater" and get a nice little wine buzz.

This is some classy shit. It will also make you more attractive and your jokes much more funny. Have fun!

i decided that i would spend my entire birthday weekend drunk and i achieved my goal.

after my liver re-solidifies, i may drink again. out of this entire weekend, i drank the most last night (drank a fifth of jack with my boyfriend's best friend, as my boyfriend was DD) and as i'm a total light-weight, i was drunk off my ass for a good, long time. for now, though, this weekend is far and away enough alcohol consumption.

also, drunk computer use isn't too difficult, i have it set up in front of a nice comfy chair where i can collapse and the keys swim, but i just close one eye.

(woke up drunk again)

My advice, whatever you do, is to never edit while high on vicodin what you wrote while drunk. And you can quote me on that.
