Since everyone seems to be talking about buying other people stuff and I know we are all on a limited budget. How about we do a Secret Santa virtual thing? It would be just like your traditional Secret Santa but revolve around books.
If you want to participate put your name and a book of your choice that you want for Christmas.
Please try to limit amount of books to less than 20 dollars, preferably less than 15 dollars on Amazon so that more people participate. It's easy to ship something to someone through Amazon as a gift. I say we give people about 2 weeks to sign up and then send them out at least a week before Xmas so they get there in time. Fyi, if you are a college student, register with your college email addy and you get free two day shipping for a year. It will be fun so the more people who participate the better! You give a book and you get a book and best of all, it will be one you want. If you want to be surprised, put three books that you want and let the person choose one.
So how will people figure out who they get assigned you ask???? Well, I can be the moderator if you want and I will literally put everyone's names on pieces of paper and draw them one by one so it's random if you want lol I will also participate because I am just that fucking jolly. Get into the Xmas spirit, remember that Santa died for your sins, so you could have eggnog on Xmas. Ho Ho Ho.

That is why we need an even number of people. Example: Joe gets Gina, Gina gets Pete but who gets Joe? So even though Joe draws Gina, he will be placed back in the magic bowl so someone can draw him. Get it? I know it sounds confusing but it works, otherwise each person would know who drew them and ruin all the fun.)

I'll do this. I have Shitloads of books to give away. I went and bought myself a Kindle this year, and I realized that the 8 big boxes of books in my room, I could carry all in the palm of my hand. I never have to figure out what to take with me on a trip again -I can take it all with me. And I can keep adding to it without adding more space. So anyway, I did a random generator because the other one you needed everyone's personal email and it would just take too long and if we are going to do this we need to do it ASAP because Xmas is almost here and Sam (Typewriter) is in London so I know that will take longer to ship to him. Since its so damn close to xmas, I should tell everyone if you dont mail out the book by this weekend, its not guaranteed to come by xmas. Honestly it doesnt matter to me. I probably wont be able to get out my secret santa persons book until monday so I hope there are no bad feelings if it doesnt make it on time. I have spent so much goddamn money on my wife, its disgusting. This is the part I hate about xmas. If you dont match what other people get you, you know they will be pissed. My wife spent like 300 dollars on me so I had to match it plus its her birthday four days after xmas so I ended up putting out about 500 dollars on her.
