@avery: I'm almost positive I saw Weezer at the PNC Banks Arts Center during that East Coast swing. Dashboard Confessional and some other band opened for them. Again, not 100% sure but that giant light up W with the drummer playing atop it is exactly what they had. The tailgate beforehand was a shit show of epic proportions. Great show, Dashboard Confessional aside.

Bill - Yeah. That was The Enlightenment Tour, Cordalene and Dashboard Confessional opened. That show would have been in... Holmdel? Am I right? I think just a couple days before the Camden show.
I may have seen you there.

@ avery: Yep, Homdel! Yeah, I'm sure we crossed paths at the show, especially if you were in that ridiculous tailgate. My friend and I got there at 1:30 for a 7:00 show and it was madness. Weezer puts on a great show. Also saw them at the Garden a few years back with Angel and Airwaves opening. At the show, they did an amazing version of Oasis' What's the Story Morning Glory. Great performers.

I don't argue that America is a badass nation. In fact I'm pretty sure that the "U.S. History" song supports the idea that we are the MOST badass nation.
Hustlin' is in our blood. We destroy anybody who we want to.
And that's cool, I guess. But that hardly means that we are nice people.
It just kind of makes us the modern equivalent of the Mongol Horde.
We can't act like we have some sort of moral high ground when we also claim that our rights are derived from our capacity to commit violence against other humans.
But fuck the chains of morality anyways. It should be a liberating sentiment.
