My friend's dad has carambola trees in his back yard. Ever had a tree-ripened star fruit? Oh Emm Gee. They get so big and juicy... just pick it and dig in.

I've seen them in grocery stores from time to time, but they're small, green and tough. And not so sweet.

The only grocery store I've seen carry them is Hyvee, but we don't have them in California.  I'm on a mission to find one.

the average TNR page, double spaced holds around 450 words. your average monospace font in the same format holds around 250. this means people who use TNR for length sensative assignments are literally doing twice the work.

Dr. Gonzo's picture

I'm a bit of a page watcher, Charles.  When I start a WIP, I use courier to feel like I've done more than I have.  Change to TNR after about 100, watch it shrink.  Psychology...

I was watching a live interview on C-Span yesterday evening. The congressman was asked what he thought of the Libyan rebels' capture of Gaddafi. He said he hoped it would be a quick trial, sometimes these things takes forever. Meanwhile, the news banner at the bottom of the screen read "Next: Obama Reaction to Death of Gaddafi."

The show is veering off quite a bit, I think Kirkman made a concious choice with them to develop the story better fitting for a multi-season tv show. I stopped collecting the TPBs at like the 6th volume, pretty much because Kirkman's dialogue sucks.
