Ok, I don't know about you guys, but this is bizarre. The Malasian authorities don't seem to have a grasp of reality or truth. It's so strange! What do you guys think happened to this aircraft? Seems to me if it were terrorists they would've landed somewhere by now and would be gloating about hostages or whatever. If the plane crashed, I can't believe Someone Somewhere didn't hear/see something. I feel for the relatives/friends of the passengers on it; it's hard to lose someone and never know what happened to them.

Any theories?

I'm pretty sure it's simply Lost IRL.

On a serious note, I do find it very strange that we simply "lost" twohundredfifty people. Although if you scale it down, consider the plane to be your cell phone/keys/wallet and the world to be your entire house, yard and all. Makes it a bit easier to understand how something can go missing. That isn't to say that it should have gone missing in the first place, and it definitely doesn't explain why we haven't found it yet. Although it's a bleak outlook, I'm sure we won't find the passengers alive. If we do, it will be due to a huge amount of coincidence, and there's no such thing as a coincidence.

yeah...  do you realize how big the ocean is?  answer- very.  looking through satellites is like trying to find a dot on your desk by looking through a straw.  flying around?  about the same.

i dont know that theres no such thing as coincidence though.  co-incidence.  to coinside.  occurred at the same time.  there are co-inciding events all the time, law of large numbers, etc.

maybe by coincidence you mean extraordinary luck?

The Malasians keep changing their story and adding bits and pieces. There were a lot of Chinese nationals on board; wondering if someone was trying to run away? If it went down in the Indian Ocean, I can see how no one would have seen it; but if it went down over land, seems to me someone somewhere might have noted it.

Don't think I'll be flying their airline anytime soon.

Do you want the wacky explanation, or the truth? Both could be true. Though not always. (And why I regret being part of the UFO culture sometimes, because there are in fact mundane explanations.)

But it could have disentegrated at some point.

To be honest, I'm not real gungho about flying any airline. Aren't you glad most countries aren't China? (Would be funny, if it weren't true.)

What do you guys think happened to this aircraft?

I think it crashed in the ocean due to an unavoidable issues that wasn't really anyone's fault, in a fashion that made it hard to find.

Dwayne: Cop out!

I'd say the inability to admit what is most likely the truth is a cop out.
