Inspiring stuff Humboldt! Nice one!!
If anyone would like to read the first of the stories I mentioned earlier, 'Everything Is Burning' is now live over at STORGY :)
I just wanted to say that I will have another short story published soon. It is in Litro Magazine. They pitch themselves as the UK's leading literary and creative arts magazine, so I'm pretty happy to get something in there.
The story is called 'Animal Kingdom' - It will feature in their next print issue, but I'm sure it will appear online too so I'll post a link when it is available :)
I wrote an extremely stupid comedic book called Ghost Dick: Private Eye. It's free for 5 days on Kindle. Get it here!
I launched my Patreon this week, the first story went live on Wednesday.
I write in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Horror arena, sometimes just one, sometimes I mix them together.
If you're interested at all the latest post is an excerpt, and for a buck you get access to any stories I post there.
Please take a look!
Have a great day everyone.
I have two stories in Drabbledark, edited by Eric S. Fomley, ebook release date July 20.
Check out this series if you like reading about Zombie POCs.
I did a live storytelling event last night. Check it out here (I'm the cat guy):
I'm an 11-year sports blogger/writer making the move to fiction. If anyone is interested, here is a piece I did for the 10-year anniversary of 9/11 for Huffington Post...
New to the site, and new to short story writing. I've dabbled in scriptwriting in the past, but trying to branch out and develop. So I guess I am whoring myself and my first short story if anyone would care to take a gander- feedback would be very much appreciated! Plus if anyone cares to connect with a lonely newbie, some writing friends would also be lovely!
The whoring has slowed down a bit. I'm just going to open my legs and see what I can find.
You can always keep up with my NEW RELEASES at the WHERE TO SEND YOUR WORK column. I update it now and then.
My latest releases:
"Requital" in Lost Highways
"Golden Sun" a novelette with Michael Wehunt, Damien Angelica Walters, and Kristi DeMeester in Chiral Mad 4.
New story up over at Porridge Magazine.
It is called The Stork and originated as a piece called A Is For Apple that was developed here in the LitReactor workshop... so thanks to everyone who helped on that one!
Smuggler follows a group of stupid Americans who get involved in a Nigerian heroin smuggling conspiracy (the inciting incidents behind OITNB, which I haven't watched, and will not), their inevitable reckoning and subsequent attempts to explain the whole fiasco with florid prose and Camus references.
While I'm down on all fours, I may as well mention that I need reviews.
"Golden Sun" a novelette I co-wrote with Michael Wehunt, Damien Angelica Walters, and Kristi DeMeester made it into The Best Horror of the Year, Volume 11, out in 2020. Dream come true!
YAY Richard! Congrats!! God knows you've done the work!!!
Thanks! Very exciting.
Also have new work out in Shallow Creek, my story, "The Caged Bird Sings in a Darkness of Its Own Creation." I have eight stories out this year, and this is one of my best to date, I think.
Thought I might add to this thread as well.
