thanks, wendy! i struggled to get in, they turned down five reprints before taking an original, had no idea what chirality meant by the end of the submission process. but i often write stories that deal with reality, perception, and sanity, so "Playing With Fire" albeit it is a sublte tale about a man on an island who throws his back out and wakes to find the wolves almost upon him, the ending i think makes the reader question everything they think they know about man vs. nature. thrilled to be in here.

If you've got one week and $70, I'm teaching a Short Story Mechanics class here at LitReactor in January. We're trying to offer some shorter classes at lower prices so more people can get involved. Check it out, I hope to see you there!

Alright, here I go, whoring myself out again...um...I mean...whoring my book out. :D
I just released the sequel in my zombie series, Undead America. Book 2 is called No Angels...and it's about what happens when you find out that not only is your world overtaken by zombies, but the people left behind are pretty shitty as well. Life post-apocalypse really takes a turn for the worse in this one.
No Angels is available as an ebook only right now on Amazon here.
The first in the series (Zombie Days, Campfire Nights) is here. Zombie Days is available as a paperback and ebook.
I hope you enjoy!

My guess would be yes. For my publisher, the books sell pretty well, and I moved a bunch of copies of the print version of Book 1 pretty quickly. Now to keep momentum going... :D

Thanks Wendy! I totally understand how intimidating they can look. I've been looking at U.S. recently and they look like they're written in another language! So I figure that's how any contract looks to most people. :)
Dwayne
from Cincinnati, Ohio (suburbs) is reading books that rotate to often to keep this updatedNovember 18, 2013 - 9:37pm
Not another language; several other languages. There is different contract law in all 50 states (with some minor variance by area in the states), Puerto Rico, Washington DC, Guam, The Marshall Islands, The Virgin Islands, and (I think) various different ones on the Indian reservations. Than, for extra fun, federal court rulings aren't exactly applied the same across the country (because appeals court rulings only apply to the part of the country they manage if I understand it right) so the over arching federal law isn't universal.

"Cut in Half" is kinky, weird, horrific, the story of a man whose life is divided.

In case you missed this, here is the full cover for our first novel at DARK HOUSE PRESS. I'm really happy with the look, and feel. What do you think? ECHO LAKE by Letitia Trent will be our second title in 2014, after THE NEW BLACK, the anthology of my "best of neo-noir" from the last 5-10 years. It's a dark bit of southern gothic thriller, with horrific supernatural touches. Love it.

Hi guys,
I've recently started a site which dedicates itself to promoting writers' work after they have struggled elsewhere to find publication and to really bulk out their C.V in terms of prior writing experience.
It's an open forum which encompasses a range of culture-based opinions and articles and all you need to submit is a keyboard and a pair of fingers. No degree, no experience, just the passion to write.
The Wordpress is just a temporary measure as we cross into our own unique domain which actually, should take place this evening.
If this interests anyone, simply drop me a message at theculturedvultures@gmail.com and I'll correspond as quickly as I can. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks,
