Thanks everyone! I'm really stoked to have such a fantastic round of submissions for this issue.

Here's a link to the "archive" where you can just see names and bylines: click

Also, I'm not sure if I've mentioned this yet, but Jessica Meddows (Mess_Jess) is our new Fiction Editor! She's doing a fucking fantastic job.

I'm in dire need of a poetry editor -- I'm honestly alarmed by the amount of poetry subs I get -- so anyone interested, shoot me a PM! Ask Jess, the process to getting the job is incredibly easy.

My story “Wakey Wake” is featured in the newest issue of ThuglitThuglit #3Available Now on Amazon for Only 99 cents.

Thuglit has featured the work of Matthew C. Funk and Nik Korpon among other great crime writers, and I’m very proud to appear in the new issue.

Todd Robinson is the culprit responsible for Thuglit—another great crime writer—and while the publication’s been around, they've recently re-launched their magazine to stellar results. I read it and enjoy it very much. Definitely check out #1 and #2 if you like the hard-hitting, no-apology fiction. (Also available in paperback).

Another cool thing: the new issue that I appear in has made the list of Amazon’s Hot New Releases: http://www.amazon.com/gp/new-releases/digital-text/157056011

Thanks so much to everyone for the continued support. Those who check out the story and issue—Enjoy!

I'm proud to announce the launch of Pantheon Magazine, a home for godly good writing. With a little nudge from watching Courtney's successful launch of Parable Press, I finally followed through on a project I had been mulling over for at least a year. Issue # 1 goes live April 1st, 2013.

It’s no secret that Pantheon Magazine is intrigued with Greek Mythos. We want to see our prompts inspire your writing, not rule over it. We want it to bleed through every letter. If our quarterly is about Apollo, give us stories about the galaxies, about the sun, about archery. Give us stories that breathe Apollo. If the prompt is Artemis, give us forests, give us beasts, give us epic hunts.

We also love music, reading, and watching movies. We like to publish great fiction, art, photography, music/book/movie reviews, and, sometime in the future, poetry. Pantheon Magazine would like to be a home for many established and emerging writers from all walks of life.

That means you!

Issue # 1 Prompt: HADES

And includes...

Fiction By

Rebecca Jones-Howe, “The Book of Seth” (Aka. The WAR Queen)
Megan Arkenberg, “Harrowing Emily” (Featured author @ Lightspeed Magazine)
Ryan S. Mooney, “Harboiled Hell” (Author of "This Is What Living Like This Does" featured on Parable Press)

There's still room so submit NOW!

Music Guest

First up, it's LitReactor's very own TomorrowHill with a short story up at the re-launched ManArchy* called "Thin-Skinned," which some of you might recognize from the WAR2 contest.

Also, Spinetingler announced their best crime-fiction reads of '12, which finds my novel Flashover among many other excellent ones.

but more importantly, check this out...Over at SYW Magazine, we're talking to some people, and here's my interview with Stephen Graham Jones. Some sneek previews of things to come this year from him.

More Good News: Thuglit Issue 3 is Now Available In Paperback for those who prefer print. Only $5.99.

My story “Wakey Wake” has received a great response so far. Thanks to everyone who checked it out and also to those who will. Issue 3 as a whole is doing well, still in the Top 20 for Amazon's Hot New Releases (moved up, in fact). Paperback is here. Kindle Edition is still available at 99 cents here.

“Wakey Wake” tells the story of an emotionally crippled young man who chooses to deal with his father’s death in a harsh manner while risking the exposure of a dark secret.

(Also includes a Sneak Peek at Todd Robinson's new one, The Hard Bounce).

I just put out a 24,000 word collection of my weird dreams. It's not necessarily good writing as it was all done first thing in the morning, but I polished things with a bit of editing and bam, here you go, 3 bucks. Also, don't mind the formatting, I wrestled with it through fifty file exports or more to get it whittled down to only THAT wrong. Something's off with their conversion software. Anyway: guaranteed odd!

@Nathan has already beaten the drum a bit, but damn it if I'm not going to follow suit- my story DOING THE JOB also appears on THUGLIT #3. I ran that story through the workshop here, and I think all the advice I got really turned it into a pretty good story, and probably played a larged part on why Todd accepted it.

Get it here for only 99 cents!

Also, in incredibly unexpected news, DAY OF THE DEAD, a short story  I wrote for the flash fiction site Shotgun Honey got mentioned in Spinetingler's 'Best of 2012" article! Along with the fact that two anthologies I was featured in this year--SHOTGUN HONEY: BOTH BARRELS and WEIRD NOIR, are up for Anthology of the Year leaves me pretty chuffed.

The article that mentions me is here

DAY OF THE DEAD can be read here

Hey, everyone, we're putting out a call for submissions for Parable -- we need some more fiction submissions!

Also, we're filling up staff quickly, but we still need an assistant poetry editor and an editor and assistant editor for mixed media.

All the info can be found on our website! (If for some reason it doesn't load, just refresh, for some reason our domain purchase didn't go through correctly and I'm getting it fixed)
