Thuglit has featured the work of Matthew C. Funk and Nik Korpon among other great crime writers, and I’m very proud to appear in the new issue.
Todd Robinson is the culprit responsible for Thuglit—another great crime writer—and while the publication’s been around, they've recently re-launched their magazine to stellar results. I read it and enjoy it very much. Definitely check out #1 and #2 if you like the hard-hitting, no-apology fiction. (Also available in paperback).
Thanks so much to everyone for the continued support. Those who check out the story and issue—Enjoy!

I'm proud to announce the launch of Pantheon Magazine, a home for godly good writing. With a little nudge from watching Courtney's successful launch of Parable Press, I finally followed through on a project I had been mulling over for at least a year. Issue # 1 goes live April 1st, 2013.
It’s no secret that Pantheon Magazine is intrigued with Greek Mythos. We want to see our prompts inspire your writing, not rule over it. We want it to bleed through every letter. If our quarterly is about Apollo, give us stories about the galaxies, about the sun, about archery. Give us stories that breathe Apollo. If the prompt is Artemis, give us forests, give us beasts, give us epic hunts.
We also love music, reading, and watching movies. We like to publish great fiction, art, photography, music/book/movie reviews, and, sometime in the future, poetry. Pantheon Magazine would like to be a home for many established and emerging writers from all walks of life.
Leah Rhyne, author of “Undead America: Campfire Nights”
Music Guest
Mayuko & Tsusumi Okai (formerly of The Binges, a Los Angeles band that earned themselves a shout out on VH1's That Metal Show) talk about their new project, Boost.
Pantheon Magazine is a paying market, paying 1/4 cent per word for fiction (Minimum of $10/story). Sorry, we do not pay for reprints.

My story “Wakey Wake” has received a great response so far. Thanks to everyone who checked it out and also to those who will. Issue 3 as a whole is doing well, still in the Top 20 for Amazon's Hot New Releases (moved up, in fact). Paperback is here. Kindle Edition is still available at 99 cents here.
“Wakey Wake” tells the story of an emotionally crippled young man who chooses to deal with his father’s death in a harsh manner while risking the exposure of a dark secret.

I just put out a 24,000 word collection of my weird dreams. It's not necessarily good writing as it was all done first thing in the morning, but I polished things with a bit of editing and bam, here you go, 3 bucks. Also, don't mind the formatting, I wrestled with it through fifty file exports or more to get it whittled down to only THAT wrong. Something's off with their conversion software. Anyway: guaranteed odd!

I ran that story through the workshop here, and I think all the advice I got really turned it into a pretty good story, and probably played a larged part on why Todd accepted it.
Also, in incredibly unexpected news, DAY OF THE DEAD, a short story I wrote for the flash fiction site Shotgun Honey got mentioned in Spinetingler's 'Best of 2012" article! Along with the fact that two anthologies I was featured in this year--SHOTGUN HONEY: BOTH BARRELS and WEIRD NOIR, are up for Anthology of the Year leaves me pretty chuffed.
